Miss me while I'm away, okay?

I’m going to be away until Monday, out of town business trip! Ha! So I can’t go around the blogsphere and leave you all a comment :( I’ll make it up later, I think. I hope everyone miss me, haha.

And just in case you miss me too much, I’ll leave you with some pictures of me. Me and my friends were doing a little photo shoot few weeks ago and yesterday I received some of them ;)

Whenever I see this pic, I’ll only focus on one thing, my abs. Mwahaha.

I’m planning

Yes, this is yet another post! I feel like blogging much lately. And you know what? I featured a lot of you here in this post!

You all know how much I love daydreaming about my marriage, right? I remember I’ve talked about how I want lollipops for my pre wedding shots. I think I would want even more balloons and candies and fluffed animals. (Now, where should I put my future hubby?)

I also remember telling you all how I want to invite you all to my wedding, right? It would be fun, meeting my virtual friends in reality, get them know each other, I really am serious about this. Internet is a big part of my life, my internet friends are too. So dear, I’m not just daydreaming here, I’m planning.

I’ll get as much money as possible, save up, tell my future hubby about it and he really should must understand this. Next, I’ll just book a flight, send each and every one of you the ticket and wait patiently for the plane to come :) I’ve even found the suitable bus to take you from the airport to the hotel.

Wait, I’ve even decided which hotel you all will spend your nights. It’s The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta.

 
Actually I don’t really like how this picture make the hotel looks all grand, it’s grand, but unlike other modern hotels, this one has a really strong cultural feeling inside, and knowing me, the culture lover, you should understand why I chose this hotel. :d and I really love their swimming pool. I hope they’ll stay like this for at least five years.

Now, how cool do you think it’ll be to have:

the insomniac lolita,  Andhari to sing rap me the wedding song, what is it called? Bridal chorus? Ha! Dear insomniac lolita, maybe you can spare your insomniac time practicing this one special song for me? :P I hope she’ll have enough sleep before my wedding day.

Sarah (where on earth is she, though) and/or photojoy, to have a speech in Japanese and Kym in engrish which she’s mastering. That’s gonna be cool to have a Multilanguage wedding speech, mwahaha.

The toothfairy to make sure that I won’t have a toothache on my wedding and/or wedding night. Wouldn't that be awful?

The stylish Clara Devi and Tina {luphia} to help me choose my dress, you know I’m not so experienced in this kind of thing. I always love weird looking dresses that gonna make me stand out, but since I’m the bride of course I’ll be stand out, right?

Abby and Manju to tell me funny stories so I won’t cry my heart out of nervousness, I’m pretty sure I’ll at least running up and down or fidgeting the whole two days before the wedding day. Prepare me your funniest stories girls, I might not even smile for I will be too nervous.

Anya and her cutest cat ever Kareltje will do keep me entertained as I love cat more than anything, I just hope he wouldn’t scratch me or I’ll hate him forever, lol. No way I can hate a cat, though.

Lisa, Mel, Emily and Nikolett can take turn to calm me down with their sweet and soothing words when I start act crazy and think crazily like imagining an earthquake happening when it doesn’t or act like the sky is falling down upon my head, or a giant dragon kidnap my dear future hubby, or well… anything that crazy.

And of course Dionne to help me organizing all blogger friends, since she’s so talented on doing a meet ups and arranging an events. I’m sure I’ll need heaps of her help. Wait, I think I’ll need her in the calming me down section too. Thus, I think she’ll need help, Jessica to the rescue! (more like rescuing me than Dionne, though.)

Katie, I’ve decided to contact her as soon as I know when my wedding is, she’s gonna be one of my photographer, of course. For my pre wedding pictures and all. I’m sure she and her ideas going to make my wedding a big ball of fun.

Jessica leigh, Kristen Sara, Kenna Christensen, Sheri, Lilize, Namine, Lilu, Khaay; girls, we really do need to get closer, I can’t find suitable job for you. Tell me, what would you like to do to help me on my wedding day? Buy me heaps of candies so I can get sugar high? That sounds like a good idea, toothfairy will be there anyway. Haha. (She’ll scold me for having such a sweet tooth, oh!)

Rad and Sebastian, don’t worry guys, you are, of course, invited. Well, only if none of you propose me, that would make you the groom instead of a guest, which one is better? Wait, the boys haven’t got any job to do, it’s unfair, I’ll think about it tonight, don’t worry boys, I won’t leave you jobless.

Did I miss your name? I’m so sorry, maybe we’re just not close enough? But that doesn’t make you out of list :D Tell me, I’ll think of what job I can give you.

For once, I feel like bossing around. No girls/guys. I wasn’t serious about all those jobs, haha, I’ll be a good host and accompany you touring around *wink.

Tumblr and a tag

I have a lot of things running in my little head lately, and I can’t pinpoint as to which to write first.

first, I think It’s been quite some time since the last time I blogged, alright, five days ago, that is quite some time, right? Thus, I apologize.

next, I’ve been addicted to tumblr. lately, really addicted like I can spend my nights and days in front of it, seriously, lol. I found these pretty pictures via tumblr.

and you can tell I’m much addicted to pastel colored pictures too. Argh, there are heaps of them over tumblr, reasoning my addiction.

Right now? I’m bare-footed right now.

My once upon a time story

Let’s try my writing skill, it’s been a while since the last time I wrote a story, but I need to proof that I am still a literature student after all. The following story will be slightly different from my other blog posts.

Crowded.

She looked around, Eid¹ is around the corner and this very day was weekend. With discount everywhere there was no doubt this place would be so crowded, even without holiday and sales Malioboro² always is the most crowded place in town. But in spite of everything, there they were, walking (or at least trying to walk) through the sea of people around them.

She sighed secretly, she never had claustrophobia whatsoever, but jam packed people was never really her favorite either. However, she had agreed to accompany him, no, scratch that, actually, she was the one who asked him to go out tonight in the first place. Consequence, consequence.

He continued walking before her, sometimes they made a little conversation, but most of the time they focused on their every step. Too focused that she didn’t realize the time they separated.

She was pretty sure he was walking beside her second ago, then why couldn’t she find him around anymore? Was he playing prank on her? She looked around, convinced herself that he was just hiding somewhere near, where could he possibly hide when there wasn’t even enough space to walk? Also, how could he play prank at this kind of time?

Wait, was he really playing prank on her?

Seconds ticked and she still couldn’t see any sign of him, She stayed a little more second until a realization hit her, no doubt, she was actually lost. Damn. All of a sudden she regretted asking him earlier to carry all her belongings including purse and bags and all, oh, but the cell phone was still in her pocket.

Once again, this time more panic, she looked around. She wouldn’t be able to go home without him, it was dark already and there was no public transportation she could use for her money was all on him. Looking ahead, she noticed the green plaid backpack, it was hers! And the guy with denim jacket? Phew! She found him! Quickly, she ran to his direction, not caring about the other people walking past through her.

He hadn’t seen her yet, his cell phone was in hand, ready to make a call when suddenly she appeared before him, couldn’t decide whether to feel relief or angry, he spontaneously scolded her, “Where the hell were you?!”

“I was lost!” she exclaimed, more like an announcement than anything, and with that he smiled, just like that, they continued to walk. She had learned her lesson decided she should cling to him all the time, so she grabbed her backpack (which he carried) and hold on to it.

He noticed, stared at her for a while before finally questioning, “Why are you holding on to the backpack?”

“Huh?” She answered (or not really), how should she answer it? Because she wanted to stay close to him? Because she couldn’t hold on to his hand instead? “I just don’t want to get lost again,” she finally answered, which rewarded her his smirk. Oh that famous smirk of him, can a smirk be any more adorable?

But she being herself, as soon as they arrived at the store, couldn’t help but sidetracked her eyes to anything more interesting. Quickly she hopped from one rack to another, forgetting that only minutes ago she was lost. When she realized that she couldn’t hear his voice anywhere near her, she started panicking again, damn! Why was she getting distracted so easily?

To her surprise, it didn’t take long to her to find him again; in fact he was there, right behind her. “What? You’re afraid of getting lost again?” He smirked yet again, and she could swear she heard him saying, “don’t worry I’m here,” but maybe that was just her imagination playing with her.

“You shouldn’t keep quiet when you get lost, you should scream, calling out my name,” he lectured her on their way home, which gained her raising eyebrow, sure she shouldn’t keep quiet, she planned to text him already if she couldn’t find him, but calling out his name amongst the crowd? That would be too ridiculous.

Eventually, she couldn’t sleep easily that night; thinking that he actually cared for her she realized that getting lost never really feel any better.

¹ Eid is a celebration for Muslim after fasting month, usually people buy new clothes and all, thus the crowded places and discounts.

² Malioboro, the most famous, most crowded street in Yogyakarta, you can find heaps and heaps of souvenirs here. They simply sell… well, everything.

Wait, have I told you that the girl in this story is me and the guy is, of course, the best friend? Yes, I was lost the last time we hang out.

I’m pretty sure most of you don’t know who she is, or even how to spell her name. It’s Kim So Eun as Chu Ga Eul in the super hit Korean drama; Boys before flowers. I don’t even watch the drama, lol. The professor who’s going to assist me writing my thesis is actually of of my favorite one, you can even say we’re close. So close that he even sometimes help me on my personal matters and tease me about the best friend, great! :D All I need to do now is to compose my mind and set it into serious mode instead of just playing around all day long.

I found out that most of my reader love this simple layout the most, and I, do too. I mean, it’s been a long while since the last time I changed my layout, right? I hope I can write more interestingly, sometimes I feel guilty to make you all read some nonsense daydream I have, ah poor poor reader.

kinda sweet, eh?

Me and my high school friends, just as usual, held an annual reunion last Saturday. And this one is like one of my favorite of all pictures.

Why you ask?

Hmm… maybe because there’s a sweet little gesture between me and the best friend. (well, if you can’t tell me which one I am I’ll hate you I’m the girl one, lol. Who did that fish face-and the best friend is the one beside me who had the sweetest smile here. Gah, I should’ve smiled instead of doing a fish face, lol.)

Another love story

This one post, is finally not dedicated to the best friend. Of course, as much romantic girl as I am as loyal too, I couldn’t help but having a little crushes here and there while I am loving dear best friend, so here it goes, my another unrequited love story.

I have actually posted about this guy way back then, I just suddenly remember him today that I have to write about him (again).

Once upon a time, there was this Japanese guy studied Indonesian cultures. He spent almost two years in Indonesia (if I remember correctly). It’s not something that wonderful, though. As I am studying in the faculty of cultural science, there are a lot of foreigner students here in my campus.

The case was that I liked him.

We did constant gazing whenever we meet, but never really said anything.

Days went by and one day I saw him at the graduation, so he finally did finish his study, even until the graduation day we’ve never shared a single word.

That was only simple little crush, alright?

Until one day, when I thought I’ve already forgotten about him, when I thought he had gone back to his country, he came again. I was surprised, so I ran to the toilet to hide my crimson red cheeks. I ran, I literally did.

And when I finally could control my heartbeat, I went out of the toilet, only to find him standing there, in front of the toilet. My friends told me he was there since he saw me runaway (lol, isn’t it kinda creepy to wait outside the toilet? lmfao)

I didn’t know what to do, so I just smiled, he replied.

and…

that was all.

The next day he went back to Japan.

So dear fellow Japanese, if you happen to know this guy named Sho Suzuki, tell him “Hi” from me.

p.s. I’m not really good on writing a mellow post, aren’t I? lol.

I love reading poem, I have to say, short ones, and the ones about love (great, I’m a total romance sucker). My favorite would be Baudelaire with his desperately dark poems and Khalil gibran, his words are just so strong, (and it’s kind of wonderful how I can read and enjoy their long poems) and there’s Sapardi Djoko Damono from Indonesia which poem, from the very first time I read it, had successfully made me smitten. This poem, is actually quite famous, at least amongst Indonesians.

Anyone misses me? Haha, I spent my weekend at Nanette’s house, basically her house is our base camp, that’s why. She lives in a good big house with only her sister and maid so we don’t have to be shy there, haha… her sister is just as crazy as us. =d

So based on the western calendar, summer is officially over and… great, where’s my post about my summer wish list? The pictures are still in Nanette’s computer and the soonest I can meet her again is next week so I think I failed, lol.

But hey! It’s an endless summer here in Indonesia so I decided to still do them all. I’ve visited the village and enjoy the greenery and has the pics with me! At least I have one thing done ;d

Not so green, eh? The next week we went there all the paddy field were yellow! It’s harvest time! :D

By the way, school started last week, it reminds me that I am on my last year here, and that I have to work hard, so I settled my goals yesterday (when I skipped a class I decided to go to the library, that was how I remember I have to finish all this classes soon).

Of course, I have to finish this all first, or else I’ll be distracted between making money and studying. I have no intention to continue my study, yet. Career is my aim now.
