The best friend's birthday is coming in a month! And I still have no idea of what to do slash give to him on his birthday. Can anyone of you give me one or two, please? Be it by commenting here or by sending me an email to my tiara_purnomo@yahoo.fr I'm desperately need ideas, lol.
Last year was the muffin thing. This year shouldn't be muffin again.
And oh, I'd rather do something to him than giving him something because knowing him for about five years... he always tells me that I shouldn't think of money too much, when I asked him whatever to give my brother for his birthday he said "gives him a simple love and care". Now that was idealistic. lol.
What? Yes I heard you tell me to just give him love and care, and how? tell me please. duh.
How about giving him a great card and then taking him out for lunch or to a movie or something?
ReplyDeletesing him a song????? hmmmm... i think that would be a great idea!
ReplyDeleteyeah haha... sing him a song, I once recorded a song and sent it to Boyfriend. I can't sing, but he loved it! What about a picture collage?

seems like he's not materialistic and would rather just have memories! :) take him out for a nice lunch/dinner with friends? picnic? bbq? karaoke? make him a cd mix with songs you guys like?!? or is that sounding too romantic? haha!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.... what about a scavenger hunt? I did that for my sister's 19th. In the morning, I gave her a little card with a clue on it that would lead to her gift. She had to figure out the clue, and it took her to a Pottery store. She had to go to the guy at the desk and ask for her next clue (i had given him the clue the day before), and the next clue lead her to Macdonalds. I had also given her some fake money i had made with a fun photo of her on it and it said "Karla's Birthday Dollars". Her clue said she had to go and buy a Big Mac with her play money. She was so embarassed, hahaha. I had prepaid for the Big Mac the day before and had set it up with the Macdonalds Manager, so she was able to pay with the fake money for this game. So basically one clue lead to another, and she went all over town. I don't even remember what her gift was in the end, but to this day, she always talks about it as one of her favorite birthdays.
ReplyDeleteSoo....you guys have been best of friends for 5 years right? I'm sure you guys have tons and tons of pictures. And he wants something with lots of love and care? Well, why not make a scrapbook, make sure to include pics of him and you and of your friends. Then maybe you can also have your group of friends each make one page of the scrapbook and write sweet little messages or birthday greetings. =)
ReplyDeleteAww, you are so sweet! And I love so many of the comments - I agree about the scavenger hunt, but with a little twist. Whenever me and the boyfriend do something for each other like that, we have a few options. I usually make little cards with a little nursery rhyme that has clues as to where the location is, and then make him choose which one sounds best. For instance, there can be going to a cafe, or a museum, or somewhere else. And I'd prepare a picnic, and if the weather isn't the best, then make an indoors fort and make it like a little getaway with your own food! Just some ideas, good luck though and I'm sure he'll be happy with whatever you give him :)
ReplyDeleteSinging him a song sounds like a fun idea. :P You could make him a crazy cool card to go with it :)

I love balloons... I would buy a few balloons (it will cost next to nothing). Before you have them blown up, write little things you love about him on tiny slips of paper. Roll the paper up and slip one into each balloon. Then, give him the balloons and make him pop them to get the messages out.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure whatever you do... he will love and appreciiate it.
i think that would be a great idea!
